The Art Institute of Chicago hosted "Picasso in Chicago" from February 3 to March 31, 1968. The exhibition featured paintings, drawings, and prints from Chicago collections.
Picasso also gifted the city of Chicago a sculpture that was unveiled in Daley Plaza on August 15, 1967. Picasso left the sculpture untitled, and in his dedication letter, he gave it as a gift to the people of Chicago.
