The four poems in this book are each driven by different visual and conceptual engines, the most elaborate of which is spelled out in a rather apologetic letter of explanation as a preface to “IBM.” In the included “Ego Hego Shego,” “Soldier,” and “Fête Duchampêtre,” letter-pressed visual puns make use of color, fragmented text, and flip-book-like movements to produce a dynamic set of visual poems.
